Course StructureAn overview of lesson times, starting from the first day
First Day (Monday)
Your first day begins with the registration and welcoming of students at 8.45am.
There will be an English language writing test with an informal interview, in order to establish your language skills and assign you to a class that is appropriate for your level. The lessons will commence after the tests are corrected.
The amount of classes and duration of the course depends on the type of course you have selected.
From Tuesday Onwards…
By the second day, you will begin to follow the regular academic calendar.

The cost of living varies slightly depending on the area where you make your purchases, areas such as Saint Julian, Spinola, Paceville and the center of Valletta will obviously be more expensive. On average, however, the following are the general costs:

- Ftira (the Gozitan “pizza”, you’ve got to try it!): €6.00 – €7.00
- Soft drink: €1.20
- A beer (“Pint”): €2.20 – €3.00
- Sandwiches and snacks: €1.20 – €1.50
- Pastizzi (traditional snacks of puff pastry filled with ricotta or peas): €0.35 – €0.40

Getting around in Malta
With regard to the means of transport, in Malta you really have a lot of choices, ranging from cheap buses to visit inland to the efficient boats that visit the surrounding islands, even to a “water taxi” service in the Grand Harbour. From the central bus terminus in Valletta, buses reach all corners of the island. The terminus is located at the entrance of the capital (near the colossal “Fountain of the Tritons”). Usually there are buses departing every 10-20 minutes, depending on the destination. The price of a one-way ticket is about €1.40. If you stay on the island for a long time it is definitely cheaper to buy a ‘weekly pass”. For about €12, you can travel anywhere for seven days (except for night buses).
